Jez Rose trained and practiced as a behaviourist. He now works with organisations worldwide speaking at conferences and as a behaviour insight advisor, most notably heading up the research faculty of The Good Life Project evidencing the impact of nature on health, wellbeing and behaviour in the workplace.
Since 2004 he has worked as a writer and broadcaster with media titles including the BBC, the Daily Telegraph and CNN.
A member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, he was the recipient of the 2015 Beverly Hills Book Award – his books include the best-selling Flip the Switch.
Jez Rose has spent all of his life learning about – and fascinated by – human behaviour, with a particular interest in how small changes in behaviour can produce extraordinary results.
As a behaviourist and amateur gardener he heads up the innovative research programme, The Good Life Project, from his organic farm in Cambridgeshire, which is also home to his half a million honeybees.
The Project is evidencing the cognitive and emotional impact of nature on human health, wellbeing and behaviour, seeking to understand what nature does to our brain and specifically which activities have the greatest positive impact on us.
As a broadcaster he is a regular special guest on TV and BBC radio, presenting on the public understanding of human behaviour and why nature is such a powerful solution to us feeling healthier and happier. His articles and features have appeared in print including The Daily Telegraph, Liz Earle Wellbeing magazine, The Evening Standard, minutehack.com, BBC Countryfile magazine, CNN and many more.
